This was a commission for a pleasant fellow I'd previously been commissioned by at MFF. The piece was for a friend of his, a picture of his chakat kid meeting a young dragon for the first time out in the forest. I had a lot of fun with this one, and seem to be gaining more patience for more lengthy processes in real media. It was done in mostly watercolor, some color pencil, and a bit of acyrlic and is on an 8 1/2 piece of bristol.
This picture reminds me of this instance in very early gradeschool when my classmates would tell me that I'd never be an artist because I couldn't color inside the lines. Well... I STILL have trouble coloring inside the lines. But I don't think I'm too terrible at it otherwise ~_^
this is awesome! the expressions and the colors are great!

oh wow. you not only are wonderful with chakat anatomy, but the detail on the dragon is fanatastic!! I love the chakat's expression. The dragon looks bemused.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
