More fiddling with my charcoal pencils. I got a small pack of 'natural' colors, e.g. white, black, and a few shades of brown. This was the result of my first experiment with them. It's done on some of my tea stained paper.

He is no established breed in particular. Just some fantasy dromeosaurid.

Well, scientists are now speculating that velociraptors had feathers. :P So that's what he could be.

That is superb and very imaginative! You excell at this kind of thing, and might I ask of you, have you ever read "Far-Seer" or "Fossil Hunter" by Robert J. Sawyer? Those two are well written books about a society of dinosaurs, being somewhat human without being obviously so. I can see this fellow fitting right in.

He's really neat looking, love the design. I've got quite a thing for fantasy dromeosaurids. They are so fun to draw.

I like the textures you can get with charcoal pencils; very natural and old-looking. Like it was painted on rock. :) Good works!

Coohool!
Really nice work for a first test.
Somehow reminds me of a book I once read..
Ever heard of "Dinotopia"?
