My last big hurrah before I got back to the commission thing. This is blue ink, mostly, with a little watercolor and color pencil thrown in for good measure. The whole thing was just an experiment in seeing what I could do with my ink and how well cardstock reacted to it. I had meant for the image to be far, far more stylized and flat than it came out, so now it's just a semi-realistic picture with very incorrect lighting. XD
I rather like the outcome, though it is somewhat flat and bizarre. But unless you have a set plan when you start with something as unforgivable as ink, it's bound to turn out a little on the wonky side. Unless you are an ink master! I am not.
O, btw, for those of you who don't follow my scraps, this is Winter, a snowy owl/arctic fox griffin. Or gryphon, if you like
Oh wow... that's beautiful!! The colours are so soft and soothing, and mostly in ink! I can never control that stuff. You've got sheer talent... especially in your compositions!
I have nothing to do but make art @__@ I plan on making art for a living. Which means living art. Which is what I've been doing. Heh heh.
But this has just been an unusual burst of energy directly involving avoiding working on commissions.

Aww, he's so cute and chubby, so adorable~
And I can't believe that's mostly done in ink. I would so stuff up beyond belief if I even tried that I bet XD
The blue color and the wisps from the tail are very pleasing to the eye. I really like that this was done with actual ink. It makes it extra pretty, to me anyway.
