lThe clothing and jewlery are modled after a tribe that lives in the Sahara. Leopards don't really live in the desert, but uh... leopard people who wear jewelry and shawls don't exist, either, so I'm willing to uh.. lie.

My african art teacher would always rave about how absolutely beautiful gold looked on dark skin, and I agree wholeheartedly, and so had the idea to paint a black leopard woman in African dress with gold jewelry. Unfortunately, the loepard's coat tends to show up kind of a purple blue highlight, so I may tweak it and make it a bit more brown. We shall see. I'm working on this one currently.

You chosen the elegant looking of golden colors over a black one.
I can't imagine a black panther in the desert, but this one is very interesting!

I wish I could. I used to do trades all the time. But now that art is my profession, I just can't do it.

I see. Pity I joined DA that late then, might have had a chance otherwise. I really admire that you made art your profession though! I imagine it to be be difficult to live on. On the other hand when one is as good as you are, it maybe isn't all that hard.
