This goes out to probably my biggest fan, or at least most expressive. Long long ago (almost five years) I drew this [link]
Just another doodle of many, but it fired this fellow's imagination in an incredible way. I never much thought of the picture and admit it to be terribly dated, but in a way, I feel like it's one of my most important because it had made such an impact. Funny how such a simple thing could do so much.
If you know much about me personally, you'll know that one of my greatest joys comes from passing on the desire for artistic expression. My favorite comments to get on Deviantart are those which express how much my artwork has affected the commenter positively, especially when it encourages them to indulge in their own creative spirit.
I spent roughly the same amount of time on this as the first one, though I can't be sure. I used no references, as before. I wanted to make them both a little bizarre and otherworldly rather than base them expressly off of one animal or another. Like animals, but they are their own unique species.
I feel funny things, looking at this version as well as the old one. It shows, in a way, how far I've come. But also how far I've yet to go. Five years is a long time. I certainly hope I improve better and faster over the next five years. Now that I'm focused on my 2D art exclusively and not undergrad metalwork, I imagine I will, so long as I don't get lazy.
I don't mind if anyone references my art, just so long as they credit the original. If they sourced the image they copied, it's fine. If not, they should add a link to the original.
the person who referenced your at is i explained to them that they need to credit it they were being quite resistant and i asked them just to take it all down if they wont credit other than that i dont know what to do
I like the drawing alot! The fur looks very good. If the makers of Pokemon had decided to make the pokemon look realistic, I bet the game-series would have more adult fans.
