More quick stuff.

I used to use a lot of muted colors and now I'm breaking into the purely saturated paints. On one hand, it's liberating and kind of fun. On the other I feel embarrassed, like I'm becoming the Thomas Kinkade of the goofy fantasy animal world. I already sometimes feel a little bit like a Rob Liefeld who draws goofy fantasy animals.

You don't have to worry about being even close to Rob Liefeld unless you suddenly lose all concept of anatomy and start making everything grimdark at all times. And become generally terrible. As for Kinkaide, you aren't portraying a steady parade of trite pablum in misty soft focus, so no worries there either.
