Fun on the Beachby `hibbary

I'm steadily hacking my way through commissions *pshew!* and I'm getting closer to being done.

This is a 6 by 9 real media piece for AkelaVincent on FA. He wanted a picture of him and his wife on a beach. Those were all the requirements I had (thank goodness!)

I think that marriage, above and beyond everything else, should be based on friendship and joy. So I wanted to draw them just larking and having fun as best friends rather than anything overtly romantic.

I think this works a lot better than having some romantic scene. Those are so overrated.

I think it's really cool how you caught the expressions. They work perfectly. And the sunlight with the shadings are very well-placed and maintained.

It's hard not to be impressed and pleased with this. The fun just shines through and I agree with your definition of what a marriage should consist of. As for details in the art itself, your fur textures are wonderful. The way the fur on her tail and legs is, just comes out super realistic, and one can tell that you are an artist that has paid attention to the natural thinning and flow of real fur.
