Painted all in oil on a weird, hand-dyed sheet of paper I've been hoarding for ages. I use a loooooooot of thinner, and so it comes out looking like watercolor in some places. But no, it's oil :3
I'm still playing around with tension between fully rendered vs. flat in the treatment of the figure. And color, as always. I'm slowly getting better, I think.
And I may fool with it yet :F I think I see some spots I want to dicker around with already.
First words out of my mouth... "That's fuckin beautiful!"
I usually don't comment on your work cause I don't really think I can offer any assistance or crits but on this, I just had to say this is awesome. You use such interesting techniques... Keep up the awesome job.

Oh this is really amazing, as per usual <3 I've always wanted to play with the fully rendered vs. flat figure sort of composition as well, I just havent found the right thing to try it out with though. I think you pulled it off pretty well here, I love the grungey textures you used and how your eye just seems to go right to the brighter colors on the tiger, talk about power of subject. 8( I also love the composition you chose and how the brighter colors just stand out against the blue, it's really pleasing to look at <3
