I swear this is the last one. I just felt like doing a gloom counterpart to the sparkle beast I last uploaded.

I'm sure he comes complete with standard backstory about how he's been imprisoned by his enemies and is tortured and sad and also a vampire. But I'm too busy to come up with one :F

Looking at all the gloom dogs on DA, I realize this is a pretty oldschool sort of look. You know, back in my day emo kids and scene kids were pretty much just goths. Along with any other counter-culture kid with stupid amounts of eyeliner.

Nice Khimero, man! I haven't played that game in ages... I love the details, like the emo hair and the shackles. Beautiful. Plus, those scars and bloody cuts rock. Nicely done <3 I wish all Draakith Draaks could look this cool...

I like the half-bat, half-bird wings on these dragons. I never thought of combining the two. You're very creative! But I don't think he's depressed enough to be emo. He should be reciting angry poetry about how nobody understands him, there's no point to living, and he just wants to die.

Have you ever thought about 3D character art? If you have time I suggest the Zbrush trial, don't worry, the program is very small. It takes several you tube vids to learn but I'm just thinking this critter would look awesome in 3D. Its the patterns, very dazzle.

I have used zbrush. But my system is slightly too poor for a high polygon count. It gets sluggish.

See, I envision a different sort of backstory for this creature. I see him as a slightly sheltered, moderately awkward dragonlet with indulgent parents. The scars and lacerations are makeup because he's going to go out to a 16+ local screech metal concert performed by other awkward local dragonlets. He looks taken aback in the picture because he's just gone on Facebook and noticed that the emo dragonlet he's had a crush on for the past year just broke up with her boyfriend, and he's wondering if he should ask her out at the concert.

Oh dear, that got terribly involved and silly. Sorry.
