I would have gone lighter on Legolas but I always imagined him corn wheat blonde not the platinum blonde they make him out to be in the movie. And the same for Gimli's hair color. I imaged him as a rich red not the brown (though it did have red highlights!) that was in the movie.
as for their casual clothing I saw Leggie in colors of greens and blues (natureish), while gimli I saw colors of the metals and gemstones a dwarf would work with. Reason for his gemstone shirt and the bronze and copper hued leather vest.
Thranduil could give me a massage anyday. Especially if I was a Dwarf. Think of how much tension they must have in their shoulders? All that fighting, metal smithing, and general huffiness constantly? Can't even imagine how they could go without an elvish massage. :3
looking at all this LOTR art makes me wanna see the actors do live action skits of it all Honestly could you picture Orlando Bloom doing all this stuff?! Especially the one you did with the flower that smells like trolls having gay intercourse xD
Actually, it's fun to see you do stuff like this, too, especially since you seem to enjoy doing it (that's the feeling I get from the drawing, at least). I love the hair and especially Gimli's beard for some reason. How Legolas' face has come out is also very nice, as it actually deviates from the softy-soft features most elves get and looks more like what I always imagined the elves that lives under the hills (if you come in at night they'll invite you to join their revelry, but the court of elves will eventually dance you to death) look like. It's always fun to see that whatever other race people try to portray they will come off rather human - maybe because that's the only real parameter we have and what we can identify with, I don't know.
