Wheee, I gots some conte crayons at school today! This was my, er, celebration pic. I didn't take more than an hour on it, so it's really quite scribbley, as you can see in full view, but I like it anyhow.
black, brown, and white conte crayons on tan cardstock.
Wow, that is gorgeous. I feel so very special that I got first comment, too! ^_^ Excellent job You have SO MUCH TALENT! ^_^ And congratulations on getting the conte crayons!
Yeah, some of the outlines are a bit scraggly looking, but beautiful nonetheless.
The color scheme is brilliant and perfectly employed for the over-all effect. I especially like his nearly-glowing eye. It might have been nice to see a little more undergrowth, but as it is it gives the distinct impression of winter.
It may be scribbley..... but I LIKE that. It has such a lovely feel to it. You know, this is another pic that I *swear* would do excellent at the convention circuits. Tsk tsk, you need to be out there........ I say that with all of your work.... but still this just reminds me of it.
And that forest and the lighting is lovely.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.

We can think that we see
Truly see all around us
But when we look
Do we see with open eyes?
And that forest and the lighting is lovely.
