Portrait of the Shadowrealm

For Fanart100 eventually, I think. Once I find which prompt it fits best into (is terminally lazy about posting her fanart100 stuff)

M'anyhow, I was looking through some of my old photos from Oregon, and one of them rather inspired me to do this, a painting of the shadow realm from Yugioh. The place itself is really rather cool, and rife with untapped potential for fantasy scenic work. I mean, the whole YGO universe is rife with untapped potential, this being just one of those facets.

The depiction of it in the show is.... wierd, to say the least. And not very considered. Various incarnations seem to disagree with one another. I imagine it to be a very creepy, rather expressive place, full of rock and sand and sea, perhaps. Nothing growing, really. Nothing living. But very vast.

So, more grey stuff from me. XD I have had a few people complain. What can I say? I just love the muted tones.
