This was a commission that I did for Rackety the raccoon. I have a lot of fun with it because I love raccoons, and the commissioner just gave me the money and said: Go ahead and do whatever you want, which almost inevitably comes out better than with a very picky commissioner. Rackety, who works with a lot of machinery, managed to lose his calipers, his most coveted item, while out for a lunch break. Lucky for him, a kid spotted it and has the good will to return it.
I've been rolling right along with my commissions, which feels great. But I am worried that if I work on them for too long I'll start to get burnt out and let a lot of major mistakes slip through.
I loved the sketch, but, after working in painter, the photoshop figures seem very flat and blurry to me. Do you like the painterly backgroung with the more animated looking characters ?
If there is anything that really bothers you about this one, go ahead and say. I may go back to it later.
Anything you like about it, I'd like to know as well.
Adorable picture, and the coloring is so gorgeous! There's a lot of personality in this, especially in his expression. I love how it sort of looks like an animated cartoon movie; like it should be made into a Disney film.
I really don't see anything wrong with this infact I think it's gr8, really cute I love the "surprised that this kid would return these to me" look on his face really well done!!
