Ahh, this is dry enough to scan. 8D My second experimental paint doodle. 9" by 6" I took a little longer on this one (maybe 3 hour) and painted it in two or three layers.

I wanted to paint an ocean in which the mist of the wave crests took the shape of monsters.

My brother and I were talking about it (he said it looked like a comic cover) and we eventually determined that at night, after the ships had passed, the monsters come up out of the ocean waves and discuss philosophical truths with one another. He said it would be the only web comic he'd ever read. :D

Loving the lighting effect in this, I envy people who can paint beautiful water. And the monsters look brilliant.

nice use of the cool colors. Make sure that when you create a dark blue, mix red and indigo blue together. Creates a stunning realistic effect :)
