It's snowing for the first (and possibly only time) this winter. I threw on my hiking boots and in my snowflake hat, hoodie, and saggy blue pajama pants, went out and had a stroll around the streets. I know I looked like a crazy hag but I didn't care because during my walk, I was in love with the universe.

One thing I forgot to mention in my tutorials is how important it is to take time out of our busy lives to be in love with the universe. It doesn't really matter if you make a lot of art or a little art, being in love with the universe is what drives us to create.

Whenever you get the urge to go out and explore the wide world, do it. Your pencil will be there when you get back. Enjoy life. It's so short.

I only saw snow once in my life...but...it was pure magic.
One second, all the chinese kids were sombre and preparing for flag-raising...then one tiny speck of white entered my vision, floating down from seemingly nowhere.Then...another...and another....and suddenly everybody was dashing about in elation,trying to catch as many of the frosty bits that fell.
In that moment...everyone rejoiced in that small little miracle the universe offered...not caring about race, age, nationality, appearance or where they were...just indulging in the brief,but beautiful atmosphere.

you are very right about being in love with the universe. I have all but nearly forgotten how to enjoy creating from everyone beating down on me through the years but what you said in that comment really does speak to me. Love the image too snow is so calming and serene

I really love this.

We've had snow on the ground, tons and tons of it, since late October and it likely won't melt til the end of April.. Living here all my life, and not loving winter, I tend to get annoyed with it but there truly is something very special about walking out in the night in the snow..

I dunno. I *do* know however that you are one of my most favourite artists on this whole site though!

This one would make a neat poster, I love all that sky and then the trees before you get down to the small person. Sort of drives home that out-in-the-cold-winter feeling. In a sort of peace-and-quite with time to reflect sense.
