Probably elves really do get diarrhea but they're so invested in being sexy and perfect that anything unsexy causes them terrible shame. Dwarves, bless their bearded little hearts, aren't put off by bodily functions.
Maybe I'm old and weird, but I'm more interested in the point in a relationship where a friend/partner/whatever isn't put off by unpleasant details about someone. Old couples who can talk about their bowel movements are more 'romantic' than emotionally unintelligent kids leaving greasy hand prints on car windows and then conveniently dying before the puppy-love stage is over.
A friend who's willing to hold your hair back while you vomit is a real friend indeed. .....Which Gimli will probably have to do shortly because I get the feeling his 'dwarvish cure' is just going to cause it to come out of both ends.

I know this is an old sketch, but I had to let you know I love your Gimli/Legolas comics. There is something particularly comical and sweet about this one. They are still the best bromance ever!
