Scraps

There are many elements to an animated series. To name a few: character design, animation, plot, story world, the characters, storytelling, etc. All contribute to the quality of the show and all can range from excellent to absolute trash. There a few of these elements of Inu Yasha I really dislike, which I won't get into, and parts I do like, including all the old Japanese myths. But one of the things that bothers me intensely is how friggin ugly Sesshomaru is in his demon form. For some reason extreme power in non-human animals seems to be synonymous with a hideous appearance. For once I'd like to see some wicked, powerful beast that's got grace and attractive anatomy. So, at the risk of angering some great Inu Yasha deity (or a lot of demented fans), I've revamped him to something more my liking. I wasn't horribley interested in getting every little last detail and marking, although I think I have most of them. In any case, if I did get some little thing wrong I care about this much (pretend there's a little ass icon mooning you)

I know how you feel, his anatomy is NOT attracting at ALL.
I mean, I have to love Sesshomaru, but when I try to draw him, the markings come out terrible.
I always hated doing the ears. I had no skills in long ears what-so-ever. So chya.

The fur on his back just makes him look weird, and so much more diffrent from his father. It somewhat annoys me. It's just odd.(damn those creators.)

When I do draw him, however, I silouette him against the moon, or something bright so I don't have to really put effort into the markings, and he comes out just fine.

Over all, looks nice. Love the eyes. Your markings came out great, I just couldn't help but wonder if you put the cresent marking in his snout, I mean, I could care less where you put it, it's your choice, but to me, it looks like scars or something.

And the foot fur is dashing. I love how he somewhat flows with the water, and how the moon lights his fur, just beautiful X3

THis isnt about Sessh himself, more than the moon is kinda dappled cause of the craters. Its just one of my pet peeves, sorry.

If it bugs ya, just ignore that.

And I have to agree about the demonic power=ugly factor. It only serves to reason that if Sesshomaru is handsome and graceful in his normal form, he should be every bit of that, if not more so, in his dog form. -prods Inuyasha artists- You did a much better job than they did-- oo.. I smell meatballs... ANYWAY, before I go off to gobble down meatballs, wonderful job and absolutely beautiful version of him.

I love it! I feel the same way when it comes to good looking deamons! just cuz there evil or power driven dosent mean they have to be grotesque. you rule!
