I am officially 35 DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN.  On my way to hagdom, which I kind of look forward to. My mother says I was born an old woman, so I'm just acquiring a shape to match my soul hahahaha.

Secondly, for those who are new or who missed the other journals, I have a fanart account here:   A lot of it is just scratches and scribbles. I'm thinking that the VERY BEST ones I'm going to crosspost here. There's a handful worthy of being in my main gallery. So if you find the same art in either place, I'm not stealing from myself. It's me. 

As for life updates, I've just been sitting on my duff making things. It's cold and I hate it. Can't wait for spring :C

I'm soooo bad at posting up journals these days. Kinda disappeared off the face of the planet. So here's an update.

Site work has slowed down a good deal, for which I am grateful. I always have a low-energy period in spurts throughout fall and then during most of winter followed by a wild burst of output when it finally warms up in spring. I'm PRETTY sure I'm solar-powered.

The bad news is that my income has more or less ground to a halt. Which like, rice and beans for the hibbary this winter; but the GOOD news is that I can finally focus on painting at all, whereas before it was always rush-rush-rush right before con. This event coincides nicely with the fact that I feel like I'm finally understanding painting just a little bit. It took, what, ten or so years but paint is kind of starting to make sense.

I got a shitton of space at Furry Fiesta (I hope?). Just have to confirm that the panels are mine. There'll be a lot of original work there, also some big prints. Then I get to paint for Anthrocon, for which I am making a very good headstart. I'm hoping to make something larger, something that takes more time than usual.

What else... my roommate gave me one of his pretty swell cameras he doesn't use and I've been taking animal photos for painting reference. Of course the only wild animals I have immediate access to are songbirds so that might be what I end up painting for non-furry work.

I should also be at ANE this year. They don't have an art show, sadly, but I'll be taking a few commissions and selling prints AND, because my roommate and I found some amazingly cheap faux fur at our local fabric shop, I'll be trying my hand at making furry accouterments to sell at ANE. So stop by for some GEN-U-WINE hibbary tails lol.

Jeebus this year just whizzed right by. Moved again. Finally settled. Getting ready for Furpocalypse, for which I am one of the GOHs. If you're in the Northeast somewhere, stop in by!
