TWO FOR THE PRICE OF TWO COOKIE BARSDouble Delicious Cookie Bars
½ cup butter
1 ½ half cups graham cracker crumbs
1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter chips
Preheat oven to 350 (325 for glass dish). In 13 x 9 inch baking pan, melt butter in oven. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over melted butter. Pour the condensed milk over the crumbs. Top with chocolate and peanut butter chips and press down firmly. Bake 5 -30 minutes or until slightly browned. Cool and cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature.

24 HCD 2012I did a comic, but only the first 14 pages were done in the actual day... I didn't write this, but I did the art! Tried to draw something remotely related to romance, i think i'm pretty bad at it but hey... see it for yourself.

I've changed since the last time I was here, and here has changed more than a little, too. It's going to take time for us to get used to each other again. I'd like you to think of this journal as the equivalent of that first surreptitious footsie under the tablecloth between two lovers who haven't seen each other for many years. The plates have been cleared--the figs, the oysters and all the other essential bit players in the stage play of seduction--and we sit facing each other, my toes just resting on yours. Your face is flushed with champagne. My face is flushed with another sensation entirely.
What do we discuss, then, as we sit each contemplating the potential merits of inviting the other back for coffee despite neither of us liking coffee and neither of us having any? We've spent the dinner talking old times:

Unfinished business: watching you and suit porn!Hey guys-
So I frequently come to you for help and I SO INFREQUENTLY repay it haha. BUT! Today I have two exciting tidbits, both in response to prior "HELP ME HELP ME HELP ME" journals.
First: the Watching You script! The last one is debunked, but here is a wonderful snazzy new one.

Basically this is a script that tells you when another deviant is watching you. Very very helpful.
Second: the suit book! Thank you :iconjonbronx: !!! It is called "Garment Construction: Jacket and Pants" and it's by John Watkiss. The book is sadly out of print, but if you, like me, were in it to find the artist, I strongly suggest you take a minute to familiarize yourself with his work. It's fantastic.

Luncheon Meat and English Usage.A curious plague has broken out at the Lastwear Journal offices: comments and messages by non-existent people. They are odd individuals, these folk without physical being. They often seem to have opinions about the items posted on the Journal, and then loose the thread; they ramble on about other topics and often blather meaninglessly. Almost as if they were the ghosts of ideas once partially formed, but are now drifting free in the Aether that is the interwebs.
The writers are, of course, S.p.@m-bots. We dare not speak their names, for it calls them onto our site. Even using the S-word calls to them. Rather we shall call this kind of post as "luncheon-meat", which is what the original product was, after all.

Free adviceSomeone recently asked me for some advice about going to art college and becoming an illustrator. Here's what I said. Maybe someone here will find this interesting too...
1) It's a tough life as an artist. You need more than just good drawing abilities to get by. I know a lot of people who are WAY better than me but can't make it as artists. You need to be personable and likable. Work on your people skills and be sincere. People can tell when it's fake.
2) Learn a broad range of skills. Don't just focus on illustration, but also learn the fundamentals of design, sculpture, painting, storyboarding, etc... those skill will help you more than you can possibly imagine.
3) Be yourself. Find your own style and really refine it.
4) Don't waste your education. Don't go out and party and drink when you should be studying and doing homework. They give you that homework for a reason!
5) Always try to be the best. Challenge yourself to make your assignments the best in your class. Always try to be

Photoshop CS5 color pickerJust found a neat little trick in Photoshop CS 5 by accident and wanted to share.
Anybody who has always wanted to have a shortcut for the color picker: Alt+Shift+right-click brings it up! Not sure if this works in CS4, too. It's different than the standard picker also, the color selection is swift and intuitive. Hover over color, release buttons!
So whoever didn't know, this comes in handy I think.

PS: Also, brushtool selected, clicking alt+right-click and dragging resizes brush.

Floating market is a market where merchandise is sold from boats. Originating in times and places where water transport played an important role in daily life, most floating markets operating today mainly serve as tourist attractions, and are chiefly found in Indonesia.
The colorfully clad merchants at these lively markets paddle along in sturdy canoes laden with fresh fruit and vegetables to sell to shoppers. There is lots of chatter and activity bargaining is common, that's all part of the fun.

Your Show Bible
The type of show is defined by you. It can be a comic book, a TV series, feature film or game. Create a polished full color professional style bible for your proposed project.
The Structure: Build it using these elements.
The World: When and where is it? Show significant environments, vehicles and assets.
The Characters: Tell us who they are, their backgrounds, goals and motivations. Show us their emotional tone in their clothing, pose and posture. Also tell us how they relate to the other characters.
The Story/Stories: Tell us the general plot. If it's a TV series idea give us the general direction the show will move in the first season.
You can work on this solo or with another person. If there is an area of heightened interest for you, say environments, focus your work there and work with a character driven artist for the people of your concept.
