Dreams I Have Had

Someone once told me
That the toad is beautiful,
Noble and wise,
That he is wonderful
because he is what he is
And nothing more,
That he and all the others
Who hop, crawl, run,
Swim or fly under the heavens
Are deserving of love
And respect;
And she said that I am like the toad.

Others tell me
That the toad is ugly,
slimy, worthless,
That it is nothing
But a filthy animal--
Gross
Disgusting
Vile
The consort of witches,
Evil and twisted;
And they say that I am like the toad.

Which toad am I?
Or do I get to choose?


Yay! You get words!!!! I appologize to all the really real poets out there, this must make your eyes bleed, but I while I was drawing it out words came to mind so I plopped them down. They are so full of corn. So, I must admit that the subject matter is pretty weird..... Toad... and a toad.. I can't really explain. It's just something that jumped into my head. Whenever I can't draw anything worth beans I draw Todd and for some reason it always works out. Thanks for being my penciling muse, Todd. ^_^ Oh, and, I decided to dress him in something slightly different. Anyhow, enjoy!
